Kieran McGirl is a two-time Edward R. Murrow Award and Emmy Award–winning television producer and storyteller. He currently works as a Producer at ABC News’ 20/20, where he writes, field produces, and develops longform investigative stories.A graduate of Sacred Heart University, Kieran got his start after winning NESN’s Next Producer competition with a short documentary on NHL star Johnny Gaudreau.

His career has since spanned Good Morning America, Red Sox features at NESN, and nationally recognized news coverage.Kieran is also a screenwriter, filmmaker, and proud Irish-American community leader. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Erin, and their dog, Guinness.

Kieran has had the opportunity to produce both long-form and short-form feature stories and profiles, from concept to completion for air. While Producing a feature Kieran generates, researches and pitches content/story ideas,  he then determines the content, writing, editing style narrative of the story.

Kieran is a trained Adobe After Effects Editor. Since his early years of college he has been used by major companies and media outlets to creatively construct animations within the Adobe After Effects editing software.

Kieran has a mastery of still photography. He has been hired to shoot events for radio stations and concerts as well as private events. His photography skills have added another element to his storytelling.
